GFX JavaScript файл

Това не е коментар по урок, но няма къде другаде да питам. Става въпрос за един джаваскрипт файл, който по принцип ми позволява да ползвам GFX-пакет за една игра. Тоест, с този файл мога да наредя на играта да зарежда картинките от харда ми, вместо от някой сайт. Това се прави с цел по-бързо зареждане на играта.
Едно време старата мозила замръзваше при старт и мислех, че е от нея, но сега с бетата на мозилата открих, че проблемът идва от въпросния файл, който съдържа само това:

Играта е тази: http://www.kapi-regnum.com. Но за да я видиш ще ти трябва регистрация (браузърна игра е).
А какво правя: в указанието за ползване на този GFX пакет пише:

a) Unzip the gfx-pack into a directory of your choise. Please make sure that the directory path has no spaces.
The path  " C:\\regnum-gfx\\ "  would be right, for instance, a path called  " C:\\my kapi pictures\\ "  would be wrong.

b) Log into Kapi Regnum and go to your profile.
Enter your path into the line  " graphics pack "  and add a  " file:/// "  at the beginning.
Example:  " file:///C:/regnum-gfx/ "
Please make sure to turn the back slashes \\ to slashes /.

c) Open the Profile-directory of  Firefox. You will find it under  " %APPDATA%/Firefox/Profiles/ " . You will find detailed informations on how to find the profile folder here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox


d) In case you find a file called  " user.js "  please open it with your text editor (Do not use Word, but Notepad!). In case the file does not exist yet, create it!
Please add the following lines:

user_pref( " capability.policy.policynames " ,  " kapilandgfx " );
user_pref( " capability.policy.kapilandgfx.sites " ,  " http://www.kapi-regnum.com " );
user_pref( " capability.policy.kapilandgfx.checkloaduri.enabled " ,  " allAccess " );

Save the file and restart your browser. Afterwards you will be able to use the GFX-pack.

Аз съм направил всичко както си е описано в указанията.

Това е браузърна икономическа игра, която съдържа 100+ снимки и снимчици. Не са големи като размери, но като се натовари сървърът, а изображенията са доста на брой, започва да зарежда адски бавно. Затова хората са направили тоя GFX-пакет - за да ти зарежда по-бързо страниците в играта. Но за да бачка тоя пакет се иска user.js, който се слага в една от папките на мозилата. В случая моите са в D:\\kapifiles\\kapiregnum-gfx. Ако махна файла от папката играта губи всякакви цветове и става бяла със сини линкове, както и без картинки, защото няма достъп до css файла.

OK, what Therian said above works. However, I think the use of the user.js file is a little outdated as Firefox has been using the file Prefs.js for a while now. So, here is a slightly updated and more detailed method.

Details of method:

Extract the graphics pack folder to something like:

/kapiregnum_gfx/

Explanation: (for dummies and those who need to get the computer shop guy to fix a virus! No offence) i.e., extract ur folder to the desktop and then take the items (one folder and 2 files) to a new folder in your hard disk ' s root, that folder has to be called something, so I recommend calling it  ' kapiregnum_gfx '

Now, in your account settings, enter the address:

file:///kapiregnum_gfx/

Note: Only three back-slashes after the colon  ' : '

My path for the file:

/Users/<Username>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/366t54n5.default/

Substitute <Username> with your username.
Also,  ' 366t54n5.default '  might be a little different but along the same lines, i.e., 136489fh4.default.

Look for the file Prefs.js

Also, before you open and edit this, please quit Firefox completely. (i.e. Firefox - Quit or ⌘Q)

Editing the Prefs.js file:

Now open the Prefs.js file with some text editor (I recommend using something other than Textedit, eg: Smultron or BBedit)

Add these three lines at the bottom of the all the lines of code in the file:

Login to Kapi-regnum with the Graphics pack ON.

PS: The method to edit your Prefs.js file is the same for Windows users. Just find where the Prefs.js file is located and remember to close Firefox before you edit it. Smile

GFX can work with Firefox if you load it from web not from computer. Just upload it on free host or find uploaded and copy url in your profil

Ми аз съм с бетата (версия 4 бета 7, написал съм го още в първия пост). И докато не сложих въпросния файл бетата си летеше както би трябвало да е. А аз съм пуснал тема във форума им още снощи, но до преди 3-4 часа отговор нямаше. Ще я чекна пак, но се съмнявам някой да е писал.

Ще пробвам метода, който си пейстнал.
